And then look Christ in the face, whose mercy you have professed to obey, and tell him whether you will join heart and soul and body and circumstances in the march to publish his mercy to the world. They are all willing to give up the things listed. But try to get anyone to give up shopping and eating out on the sabbath. They will not admit that the cook is your manservant and the waitress is your maidservant. See also Neh. chapter 13
